PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser vertical detector less liable to suffer troubles and enabling an erected long member to be re-erected more simply, at a lower cost, and with higher accuracy than in the past, in the case of erection work for vertically erecting long members such as pillar members. SOLUTION: This laser vertical detector A1 (or A2 or A3) is used to re-erect a long member erected in the erection work for vertically erecting long members. The detector A1 (or A2 or A3) includes a laser emitter 1 for emitting a laser beam L, a laser emitter supporting part 2 (or 2' or 2") for supporting the emitter 1 so that the emitter 1 assumes an attitude allowing the laser beam L to be emitted downward vertically in line with the gravity, and a base body part 3 for holding the supporting part 2 (or 2' or 2").
