PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily provide the subject high-precision cutter wheel using diamond as the blade thereof, facilitated in mounting on a holder and smooth in rotation as well. SOLUTION: This cutter wheel for cutting glass is such that the cutter wheel body is made of sintered diamond, one side thereof is provided with a cemented carbide layer. Since the cutter wheel body including the blade is made of diamond, the service life can significantly be prolonged compared to cutter wheels made of cemented carbide, and owing to providing the cemented carbide layer on one side of the wheel body, a thickness processing is facilitated, resulting in improving thickness accuracy. If a blank for cutting tools is used as a material for the cutter wheel, the cutter wheel can easily be produced. By finishing the cutter wheel in high precision, adjustment of clamping it on a holder can be eliminated when it is mounted on the holder, and since one side of the cutter wheel represents diamond, its frictional resistance to the holder is reduced, resulting in smoothing its rotation. By virtue of these effects, cutting accuracy can be improved.
