Comminuted carbon fibers (26) and a resin paste (22) are prepared. One side of a film (12) is coated with the paste and the fibers are deposited onto it. The second film (14) is added, forming a laminate. This is compressed (34, 36), mixing resin and fibers, and forming the carbon fiber filled molding composition into sheet material, used in vehicle manufacture. An Independent claim is included for the carbon fiber-filled molding composition described. The fibers employed, are commercially produced and conductive. A further claim covers the corresponding manufacturing system.
