The vibrations of the vehicle components caused by contact of wheels to rails are detected and filtered to obtain an oscillation course, based on defined frequencies. The damage of vehicle component is judged, when the deviation of oscillation value distribution of filtered oscillation course from normal distribution, equals to a preset value. An independent claim is also included for drive characteristics monitoring arrangement of high speed train.
