The system for transporting articles on roller pallets which can be connected together comprises two feed stations (3A, 3B) with feeders (1A, 1B) which transfer them to and from a store (L). The feed stations are connected to buffer sections (4a, 4B) which have unloaders (6A, 6B) at their ends. These feed the pallets on to a transfer section (5) from which they are selected to form customized combinations at points (9) along its length
