For joining the exchangeable container (3) to the lorry the stop elements (13) are first fixed in a position matching the length of the container (3), the lorry is reversed until the stops (13) are touched. The hoist mechanism (6, 7) is manually activated, the frame (4, 5) positioned at the appropriate height and manually secured (12) to the container (3). The container (3) can be adjusted transversally by means of rollers (14), lowered, and moved into its final position. Several safety devices are activated and switched off during the process as required.
