<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device for a diesel engine, inexpensive, small, mountable on any vehicle, and easy of attachment and maintenance. SOLUTION: The exhaust emission control device to be mounted in an exhaust muffler M for a diesel engine comprises ceramic filters 13, 14 formed of double heat resistant non-woven clothes, arranged outside double metal filters 11, 12 formed in a concentric manner, and a metal filter 15 for covering the outside of the ceramic filters 13, 14. A water is sprayed from an external water supply device to the outside of the metal filter 15 to wet the ceramic filters 13, 14, and an exhaust gas is passed through the ceramic filters 13, 14 to adsorb particulate substances in the exhaust gas.</p> |
