PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure and method for protecting a face of slope capable of increasing strength without impairing the appearance of the face of slope. SOLUTION: The method for protecting a face of slope includes a first process for arranging a number of annular grooves 12 on the face 11 of slope, each of the grooves being formed into the ground from the face 11 of slope by use of a cylinder-shaped tubular cutting jig 17 having blades 19 on the inside and outside of the axial end of a cylindrical wall 18, a second process for inserting cylindrical mesh frames 13 into the annular grooves 12, and a third process for forming cylindrical reinforcing members 14 by injecting a hardening filler into the annular grooves 12 and hardening it. The structure 10 for protecting the face of slope is constructed using the method.
