PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waxing device for eliminating the possibility of losing a holding member during replacing a solid wax. SOLUTION: The waxing device having the solid wax 7 and the holding member 8 inserted in parallel into a waxing shaft 6 and the waxing shaft 6 detachably mounted at its end at the side of the solid wax 7 on a rotation driving shaft 5 for waxing a yarn running in contact with the solid wax 7 while holding the solid wax 7 via the holding member 8 to the side of a thread guide with wax holding means 9 comprises locking means 30 for the holding member 8 provided at the end of the waxing shaft 6.
