PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To install a cup holder in an instrument panel so as to not interfere with surrounding parts, to increase the degree of freedom of an installing position of the cup holder, and to simplify an attaching structure of the cup holder. SOLUTION: This vehicular cup holder mechanism 20 comprises a case 21 attached inside the instrument panel 12 of a vehicle 10, a slide member 24 slidably attached like a drawer to this case 21, a shaft 45 traversed on this slide member 24, and the cup holder 14 attached to this shaft 45 so as to vertically swing, and a container such as a paper cup, a can, or a PET bottle 13 can be placed on the cup holder 14 in a state withdrawn outside the instrument panel 12. The cup holder 14 is attached to the slide member 24 so as to move a certain distance to the right or left by attaching the shaft 45 to the slide member 24 so as to move a certain distance to the right or left.
