PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the optical scanning optical device capable of effectively preventing the vibration of a long-sized lens by appropriately supporting the long-sized lens, and to provide an image forming device using the same. SOLUTION: In the optical scanning optical device including a light source means 2 and having a first optical system 42 which makes incident light flux emitted from the light source means on a deflection means 10, and a second optical system 43 which image-forms the light flux reflected to deflection with the deflection means on a surface to be scanned 12, the second optical system has at least one lens, at least the one lens has positioning parts 14, 14' in the center in the longitudinal direction of the lens, and an adhesion mount 26 which does not contact the lens is provided in a housing 25, then the lens is fixed in the housing by filling up the space between the adhesion mount and the lens with an adhesive 23.
