PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floor mat fitting tool removable from a car body panel. SOLUTION: This floor mat fitting tool is formed with a plate type substrate 1 and an uprising wall 2 uprising from an end part of the substrate for forming a latching part 3 adapted to latch a floor mat on the substrate side to form a leg part engaging with a mounting hole of the car body panel on the uprising wall side. The leg part is formed with a facing pair of elastic leg pieces 4, and a cap 5 having a shaft part 6 to be inserted detachably between the facing pair of elastic leg pieces is provided with. Since an end part of the floor mat approaches the cap when the leg part of the cap is inserted between the facing pair of elastic leg pieces, if there is wrong assemblage in a factory line or a part of the fitting tool is damaged to need re-assembling or replacement, by removing the floor mat and drawing the shaft part of the cap from the elastic leg pieces, inward bending of the elastic leg pieces is allowed to make the fitting tool easily removable from the car body panel without damaging each part.
