Breakable adhesive bonds

Adhesive compositions (I) for breakable (reversible) joints contain thermally-activatable substances (II) which are solid at room temperature to eliminate the adhesion. Independent claims are also included for: (a) a method for breaking adhesive joints by mixing composition (I), applying the adhesive to at least one side of the joint, joining the substrates, hardening the adhesive, heating the binder matrix to activate substance (II) and separating the parts of the joint, optionally by mechanical force; (b) components with adhesive joints made by this method (before separation).
