In vesicles filled with a metal cluster suspension or ionogenic metal activator and/or coated with metal clusters on their outer surface, the metal of the activator or cluster is selected from tin, noble metals and transition metals and the vesicles have an outer membrane of amphiphilic substance, preferably in a double layer. Independent claims are also included for: (a) the production of the vesicles; (b) the production of vesicles containing a metal cluster suspension; (c) the production of vesicles coated with metal clusters.
