Headlight beam control for a vehicle

The beam regulation system uses a pair of height sensors (Sv,Sh), which are offset from one another along the longitudinal axis of the automobile, for measuring the inclination angle of the chassis via the obtained height difference (D) and an electronic control device (4a) for determining the corresponding headlamp setting (S). The measured height difference can be fed to a lowpass filter (2) with a filter time constant which is determined by the differential of the height difference.
