PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder bed sewing machine which facilitates the sewing of an extremely fine cylindrical material. SOLUTION: The cylinder bed sewing machine has a throat plate which is mounted in the upper part of the cylinder bed and has needle holes and throat plate pawls, a looper which moves to laterally cross the needles mounted at the top of a needlebar moving vertically back and forth, a pressure foot which has front needle guards for supporting the needle tips penetrating the needle location of the needle holes from front and rear needle guards for supporting the needle tips from rear within the cylinder bed section, holds a fabric between itself and the throat plate above the cylinder bed section and presses the fabric, and a cloth feeding means which feeds the fabric in the cylindrical direction of the cylinder bed. The cloth feeding means consists of only the walking bar member for feeding the fabric in the cloth feeding direction and the throat plate is so formed as not to have longitudinal square holes to be inserted with lower feed dogs, by which the cylinder bed section is made extremely fine without being limited by a feed mechanism arranged heretofore therein.
