PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lower leg massage unit and a massage machine provided with it capable of executing comfortable and effective lower leg massage without weariness by changing the operation speed of a treating body and executing the massage while moving over the wide range of the lower leg of a person to be treated. SOLUTION: This massage unit having a leg mount 20 for mounting the lower legs of the person for massaging the lower legs of the person to be treated is provided with the treating body 40 swingable and movable back and forth inside the leg mount 20, a swinging means 42 for swinging the treating body 40, a reciprocating means 44 for moving the treating body 40 back and forth and a control means 90 for changing the operation speed of the treating body 40 by the swinging means 42 and/or the reciprocating means 44.
