PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold and a method for connecting weather strips at a low cost with high performance. SOLUTION: In a method for connecting the first and second end parts W1, W2 of the weather strips by a sheet piece 20 comprising unvulcanized rubber or a thermoplastic elastomer, the sheet piece 20 molded into the almost same shape as the end surface W1a of the first end part W1 is preliminarily bonded to the end surface W1a of the first end W1, and this end W1 is held to a first mold 31 and the second end W2 is held to a second mold 32. Subsequently, the first and second molds 31, 32 are combined and the sheet piece 20 is heated to connect the first and second ends W1, W2 at a position shifted from the contact surface 33 of both molds 31, 32.
