PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handle for a fishing reel in which the jamming of a fishing line between a handle arm and a handle knob is prevented to improve the life duration of the fishing line, and the intrusion of foreign matters is prevented to protect the rotary performance and the durability of the handle knob from their deteriorations. SOLUTION: The handle for a fishing reel comprises a handle arm linked to the driving shaft of a reel body and a handle knob rotatably attached to the supporting shaft fixed to the end of the handle arm. A dent part opening toward the handle side is formed on the fixing part of the supporting shaft of the handle arm, and the end of the base side of the handle knob is placed inside the dent part.
