PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent the previous leakage in an absorptive article. SOLUTION: A bulky projecting part 11 exists in the front segment of an absorber 4 of the absorptive article 1A formed by interposing the absorber 4 between a liquid permeable top sheet 3 and a liquid impermeable back sheet 2 under the condition under which the position nearer the front side than a part H corresponding to a body fluid discharge port is made a terminating end. A damming-up groove 13 is formed at a section ML at least above 7 mm on a central line CL in the longitudinal direction of the absorptive article 1A from the terminating end of the bulky projecting part 11 toward the central side of the absorptive article 1A.
