PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and compacter toilet device capable of discriminating the moving state of a person with a single sensor regardless of an opening-closing state of a toilet cover and a seat and capable of arranging a human body sensor in a position lower than a position of the toilet cover where the toilet cover is in a closed state. SOLUTION: This toilet device having a human body detecting sensor unit in a casing fixed to a toilet bowl rear part for projecting and receiving an infrared ray for detecting the human body staying in front of a toilet bowl, is featured by arranging an opening part or a cutout part for passing infrared ray to at least one of the toilet cover or the seat.
