PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent excess cooking of a cooked food by automatically extinguishing a grill burner when a detected temperature by a temperature sensor becomes higher than a preset temperature by a radiation heat of a fire of the grill burner and resetting a count of a timer, for example in the case of taking out a grill tray from the grill chamber to examine a state of cooking, in a grill that is constructed so as to stop an operation of the grill burner located in the grill chamber and reset the count of the timer either in the case that the detected temperature by the temperature sensor indicates the predetermined temperature or that the count of the timer reaches the predetermined value. SOLUTION: A detecting means is provided that detects drawing of a grill tray 3 from the grill chamber 22 while cooking in the grill 2 and the count of the timer is continued without reset when drawing of the grill tray 3 is detected by the detecting means even if the detected temperature by the temperature sensor 25 reaches the predetermined temperature.
