The invention relates to a device for ventilating the hydraulic circuits which are in connection with a cylinder used for swinging and/or telescoping a mast of a drilling and/or intervention installation. According to the invention, the device includes a ventilation valve (1) mounted in the lifting circuit of a hydraulic cylinder (6)used for swinging or telescoping a mast, said ventilation valve (1) being controlled from the ground by means of a distributor (2) located on a hydraulic control panel so that the air inside the hydraulic cylinder (6) is pushed by the oil supplied by a hydraulic pump through a pipe (5) via the distributor (2) and through another pipe (8) to an oil tank (7), the circulation of these fluids being surveyed through an inspection window (4).
