PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To contribute to dealing with a pressure sore by controlling the pressure on a user from the mattress when the user's back is raised on bed. SOLUTION: A cover 2 over a core material of the mattress is made of a single sheet of cloth for the portion from the waist to the feet and has a dual structure of a backing cloth 2i and a front cloth 2o for the portion from the waist to the back. In the middle of the mattress 1 a knit material 3, which is elastic longitudinally with respect to the mattress 1, is formed in the width direction of the mattress 1, while a similar knit material 3 is formed on the end of the mattress 1 on the head side. The backing cloth 2i and the front cloth 2o are made of such materials as contact each other with a small friction. |
