<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treating method which reduces the volume of excess sludge without degrading the activity in a biological reaction chamber in subjecting the organic sewage of sewer, etc., to biological treatment an ozone treatment while there is a probability that the sludge of the non-organisms of the suspended components derived from the organic sludge water increased, the microorganisms participating in the treatment decrease and quality of the treated water (the removability of organic matter) is degraded in the sewage treatment of withdrawing a large amount of the sludge from the amount of the proliferated sludge by the microorganism treatment of the organic sludge water, then subjecting the sludge to the ozone treatment and introducing the sludge into the biological reaction chamber. SOLUTION: The suspended components of the org. sewage are mixed with part of the return sludge and the mixture is thickened by utilizing a flocculation effect. The thickened sludge mixture is subjected to a solid-liquid separation then to the ozone treatment. The sludge after the ozone treatment is introduced into a biological treatment system. An organic flocculating agent is further added to the sludge if the flocculation with only the reaturn sludge is difficult.</p> |
