PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating part of an endoscope with excellent one-hand operability allowing an operator to operate an objective optical system adjust ment operating piece for adjusting the focal point or focal distance by remote control easily by the left hand holding a grip part of the operating part. SOLUTION: The objective optical system adjustment operating piece 40 is disposed right obliquely in front of the lower end of a grip part 2a of the operating part 2. By oscillating the objective optical system adjustment operating part 40, the focal point or focal distance of an objective optical system 21 can be adjusted.
