PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod, capable of surely recognizing a movement reaching the tip of the rod on fish-biting without having an entanglement with a fishing line during the fishing at night. SOLUTION: This fishing rod is equipped with a tip part 10 formed with a light-transmitting material and a grip part 20 connected with the tip part, and an electroluminescence cable 12 is arranged at the inside of the tip part. The tip part is applied with a clear coating for transmitting light. At the inside of the grip part 20, a battery box 23 consisting of an inverter circuit 24 and a battery 25 is installed. A lead wire 26 drawn out from the inverter circuit is connected with the electroluminescence cable by a connector 13, and electric supply is done from the battery to the electroluminescence. Since it is possible to generate a light from the whole tip part by the electroluminescence cable, it is possible to clearly recognize the movement of the whole of the tip part during fishing at night.
