A device is disclosed for monitoring the respiration parameters of an artificial respiration system. The proposed device has a treatment device including a filter and/or heat-and moisture exchanger fitted in a respiration tube system and is based on evaluation by a monitoring unit of pressure and/or flow-rate values in the respiration system.
