PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method and a device therefor in a cutting process of a base material capable of reducing labor of an operator in the cutting process and capable of preventing an input error of the operator. SOLUTION: The work content preset for performing cutting work on the base material 1 in a production line (a) and code data for specifying this work content are stored in a storage means 4e. A work instruction having a bar code for specifying the work content is previously prepared. When performing the cutting work in the work content, the bar code of the work instruction is read by a scanner 7a.
