PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a die casting machine in which an injection plunger can quickly be decelerated while restraining the surge pressure developed at the rod side of an injection cylinder. SOLUTION: This die casting machine is provided with a hydraulic pressure reducing means for reducing the hydraulic pressure at the head side of the injection cylinder (1) before completing the injection and a decelerating means for decelerating the injection rod by raising the hydraulic pressure at the rod side at the same time of or after working of the hydraulic pressure reducing means.
