PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized make-up counseling device a simple structure, capable of correctly and accurately measuring a brightness and a skin color of a face. SOLUTION: The device adjusts the color balance of a digital camera by means of a color calibration plate, obtains a conversion expression for converting an image obtained by the digital camera to a Lab value and a deviation from the standard of the above image, corrects the cheerful impression of a face image of the subject in proportion to the distance measured by a distance sensor, and corrects the color of the face image according to the deviation for a simple composition of the digital camera, a strobe light and the distance sensor to allow the cheerful look and skin color of the subject to be accurately measured without being influenced by environments.
