PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the floating of a cap in a tack welding and to excellently and tightly close a vessel. SOLUTION: In a method by which a cap engaged in the opening of the vessel is welded, the tip part of a welding groove provided at the periphery of the cap is made thinner than the bottom part and a plurality of positions along the periphery of the tip part are tack welded to the vessel.
