PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a member of a cross section of a H shape and a key of a cross section of a H shape having key mountains to respective end peripheral parts of the H shape in a high yield, in high productivity and in an easy way. SOLUTION: A cross section shape is extruded from a metal stock 31a by forging, next, the crisscross worked part (key fourth worked part 31g) is pressed in the direction crossing obliquely to the crisscross shape to be bent to a cross section of a H shape, the H shaped key as the H shaped member is manufactured. Further, concerning the H shape key, in a stage when the crisscross shape is extruded, key mountains 33, 34 are formed to respective end edge parts of the crisscross shape of the crisscross worked part (key fourth worked part 31e, key fifth worked part 31f) by press-shearing.
