PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dephosphorizing method by which a phosphate ion can be removed over a long period of time by using a seed crystal while dispensing with the addition of a calcium compound by injection for growing hydroxyapatite, pH adjustment or the like. SOLUTION: This dephosphorizing method comprises supplying the seed crystal to the wastewater containing the phosphate ion, growing the crystal of hydroxyapatite to remove the phosphate ion in the wastewater. A cement hydrating/hardening material subjected to carbonation treatment is used as the material for supplying calcium and a hydroxy ion to the wastewater.
