PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dissolve load unbalance around the rotary shaft of a drum due to the uneven distribution of laundry by a simple constitution. SOLUTION: On the inner side face 3a of the back surface plate 3A of a drum 3, a plurality of water storage tanks 20 whose inner peripheral sides are opened are arranged around a main shaft 7. In the case that an eccentric load due to the uneven distribution of the laundry exceeds an allowable value, a water supply valve 14 is opened while rotating the drum 3, water is introduced into the individual water storage tanks 20 and held by centrifugal force. Thereafter, the drum 3 is temporarily decelerated at a timing corresponding to an eccentric load position, only the water inside the water storage tank 20 at a position identical or close to the eccentric load position is discharged and the weight is reduced.
