PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat for a vehicle which can fit well the sitting person a independent of the figure of the person and improves the comfortableness of sitting. SOLUTION: In a vehicle seat 1 having a seat cushion 2 and a seat back 4, the forward end portion SF of the buttocks storing portion DS is made movable in the longitudinal direction of the seat cushion 2 so that the position of the rearward end S of the buttocks storing portion DS of the seat cushion 2 may not change. Therefore, when the inclination of the seat back 4 is constant, irrespective of the build of a sitting person, with the size from the rear of the waist of the person to the seat back 4 held appropriately, the area of the buttocks storing portion DS can be changed to suit the size of the buttocks of the person.
