PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer having a cover being fixed surely to the printer in a specified state and the cover member can be constituted simply. SOLUTION: The printer having a cover comprises a printer 1 provided, on the upper surface thereof, with an input operating section 50 arranged with operating keys 49 and, in the side face thereof, with an opening 42 for discharging a printed tape, and a cover member 53 provided with an upper surface cover part 52 corresponding to the upper surface of the printer and a side face cover part 53 integral with the upper surface cover part and corresponding to the side face of the printer except the lower surface thereof and the side face provided with the discharge opening. The cover member can be fixed in first form covering the upper surface of the printer or second form covering the lower surface of the printer. When the cover member is fixed in second form, fixing in a form where the discharge opening is not covered by the side face cover part is allowed but fixing in a form where the discharge opening is covered by the side face cover part is prohibited. |
