PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press and a pressing method which are applicable even to a large work to be pressed requiring a large number of pressing steps and less restricted in space. SOLUTION: This press comprises a first pressing line 11 with a plurality of press dies arrayed on one circumference, a second pressing line 12 with a plurality of press dies arrayed on one circumference concentric with the first pressing line 11 and different in radius, a work charging means 13 successively charging works in the first pressing line 11, a carrying means 20 which simultaneously carries a plurality of works W pressed by the pressing dies 111-128 of the pressing lines 11, 12 to the adjacent press die on the same pressing line, and carries the works W pressed by the first pressing line 11 to the second pressing line 12 at the same time, and a work taking-out means 14 taking out the works W pressed by the second pressing line 12 outside the pressing line.
