PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drain cleaning method for separating drain turbid with oil and water discharged from an air compressor to oil and water and cleaning it to clean water. SOLUTION: City water is fed to at least one place in an electrolytic separation tank having positive and negative electrodes in the inside, a sub-tank for once storing the drain, a piping part from the sub-tank to the electrolytic separation tank, and an inlet part of a drain feed pump for feeding the drain to the electrolytic separation tank. An electric conductivity value of the drain discharged from the air compressor is low, and is mixed with public city water high in an electric conductivity value, easy to obtain and stable in the characteristics, then an electric current between the electrodes of the electrolytic separation tank is made easy to flow, thus the oil/water separation performance is enhanced.
