PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for evaluating antimicrobial property of surface to be evaluated, by which antimicrobial function of the surface can accurately be evaluated, having slight dispersion of measured values. SOLUTION: A surface to be evaluated is inoculated with a definite amount of bacterial solution for inoculation and a covering film having hydrophilic property is covered on the surface and the surface is preserved under definite conditions. Then, bacteria attached to the surface to be evaluated and the covered film is washed out into a measuring solution and viable cell number in the measuring solution is measured.
