PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To add sender information freely to JPEG(joint photographic picture experts group) compression data in the case of transmitting the JPEG compression data stored in a memory. SOLUTION: In the case of coating image data by the JPEG, the image data are compressed (compression by division) in the unit of blocks of a prescribed size while initializing coding conditions, a restart marker insert means 25 insets a restart marker between blocks of the data and then a transmission image file is generated. Sender information is compressed to a size equal to the size of each block and the information is transmitted together with the compressed image data. A marker code analysis means 33 at a receiver side acquires information such as the compression conditions and applies expansion image synthesis processing to the data based on the information. |
