PURPOSE:To distinctively display plural notes corresponding to chord constituent sounds by displaying a note corresponding single-tone information and a note corresponding to complex-tone information in different display form. CONSTITUTION:When musical sound information is supplied from a musical sound information supply means, a discriminating means discriminates whether the musical sound information is the single-tone information or complex-tone information. A display means 15, on the other hand, displays the corresponding notes in staff notation; when the displayed note is based upon the complex-tone information, the note is displayed in different display form from that based upon the single-tone information and the head of the note based upon the comlex-tone information is displayed preferably more in detail than the head of the note based upon the single-tone information. When a detecting means is provided, only a note corresponding to pitch information which is the complex-tone information and has a <=2-degree pitch difference is displayed in different form from the note corresponding to other pitch information. Consequently, the note display is made distinctive and a read of the pitch of chord constituent sounds which are close to each other in pitch is made easy. |
