PURPOSE: A method for operating a cyber library and a cyber bookstore using the internet is provided to enable a user to obtain knowledge and information by opening a cyber book store or a personal cyber library at a cyber space on the internet, thereby buying or reading a necessary cyber book through the cyber book or the cyber library in real time. CONSTITUTION: If a user wishes to read a necessary book, the user connects to a managing center and the internet using all sorts of internet connecting units(S1). If the user inputs one's ID and password(S2), it is judged whether all information data related to a book as a book list and book contents and member ID and password of member registering information in a database in a managing center are identified with the user inputted data(S3). If the user is not a member, a joining or not of the member is checked(S4). If the user is a member, a book to be read by the member is searched in a cyber library of the user(S11). If the book exists in the cyber library of the user(S12), the cyber book is read by the member(S13).
