PURPOSE: A wireless packet transceiving apparatus and a method therefor are provided to decrease an overhead and increase error tenacity to be suitable for transmitting and receiving multimedia data including video data in wireless environment. CONSTITUTION: A header information generating unit(410) generates header information matched to inputted application data, i. e., an RLP(Radio Link Protocol) type field, a sequence number field for indicating a sequence number, a CRC(Cyclic Redundancy Code), and a corruption flag. The corruption flag is indicated as two states of "0" or "1" for indicating whether the corruption exists. An RLP frame forming unit(420) multiplexes header information and data generated in the header information generating unit(410) and forms an RLP frame.
