<p>PURPOSE: To provide a mobile station for a CDMA communication system that avoids hand-off to a remain base station whose signal strength is not continuously high. CONSTITUTION: When the signal strength of the remain base station is higher than that of an active base station, a search control section 103 recognizes the remain base station for a confirmation object remain station and shifts to a confirmation mode. When the signal strength of the confirmation object remain base station is higher than the signal strength of an active base station, a counter is incremented and when the count reaches a prescribed value R, the mobile station makes hand-off to the remain base station. When the signal strength of the confirmation object remain base station is less than the signal strength of the active base station on its way, the confirmation mode is finished at that point of time and the usual mode is restored.</p> |
