PURPOSE: A composition containing a mixed extract of seed of Psoralea corylifolia with other plants is provided, which shows excellent skin whitening effect. CONSTITUTION: The cosmetic composition contains 0.01-10.0wt.% of the extracts of Psoralea corylifolia seed and others for synergistic effect such as Evodia officinalis, E., Melia acedarach or M toosendan, Leonurus sibiricus, and Angelica acutiloba seed. The extracts are prepared by adding 95% aqueous alcohol to the plants, heating at 50-100deg.C in the apparatus equipped with a condenser to prevent the evaporation of the essential component, extracting the component, filtering and concentrating under pressure.
