PURPOSE: An optical fiber connector is provided to reduce manufacturing costs by fabricating members for arranging optical fibers in one group. CONSTITUTION: An optical connector is formed with a subassembly(122) and a connector housing. The subassembly(122) is provided with an end part(20) of a fiber(16), a ferrule housing(26), an optical fiber ferrule(27), and a guide pin(28). The optical fiber ferrule(27) is connected to the ferrule housing(26). The optical fiber ferrule(27) is made of silicon and equipped with a channel for arranging optical fibers inside. The ferrule housing(26) is equipped with a recess. At least, a part of the optical fiber ferrule(27) is provided in the recess for the purpose of coupling the optical fiber ferrule(27) with the ferrule housing.
