PURPOSE: A hinge for a vehicle door is provided to close a door conveniently by generating the supporting force from the hinge in closing the door. CONSTITUTION: An end of a turning bracket(3) is fixed in flanges such as both vertical parts of a fixing bracket(1), and rotated around a pin(2). The pin is welded into the turning bracket, and a torsion pin(4) is inserted to the pin. The diameter of a head(4a) of the torsion pin is equal to the bore of the pin, and the body part under the head is smaller than the head in diameter. The head is fixed with the pin by serration-processing the bore of the pin, and the end of the torsion pin is inserted to a collar covering the end of the pin out of the fixing bracket by welding. The torsion pin is twisted with rotating the turning bracket and the pin in opening the door. The door is closed easily with applying the restoring force of the torsion pin in closing the door.
