PURPOSE: A control box for air conditioner is provided to allow repair and maintenance work to be readily carried out by arranging the control box at the front surface of blower housing. CONSTITUTION: A control box comprises a blower housing(60) installed in the lower portion of a cabinet(51), and which has a blower fan(58) disposed inside of the blower housing so as to achieve a compulsory flow of indoor air; a control box(80) disposed at the upper front surface of the blower housing, and which have electrical components mounted inside of the control box; and a box fixing unit for fixing the control box to the blower housing. The blower housing includes a housing(61) formed into a circular shape and which accommodates a motor and blower fan; a discharge guide section(62) formed above the housing; and a vertical reinforcing member(66) connected from the discharge guide section toward the housing. The box fixing unit includes screw holes formed at both side surfaces of the control box; and screw coupling sections formed at the vertical reinforcing member and the discharge guide section to correspond to the screw holes. The control box is assembled to the blower housing through a plurality of screws(90). |
