摘要 agriculture, biotechnology. SUBSTANCE: for preparing and multiplication of embryogenic callus cultures and regeneration of sorghum plants the modified Murasige-Skoog medium is used. This medium has the increased concentration of ions NO-3 which is 61-88 mM but preferably 72.4 mM and ions NH+4 which is 48-78 mM but preferably 62.5 mM (medium M2). Concentration in L-asparigine and L-proline as inducers of callusogenesis is 1.0 and 2.0 g/l, respectively. Proposed method enhances the growth of embryogenic callus and its regenerative ability in different strains of sorghum that ensures to increase frequency index of culture formation with embryogenic callus, increased mass of embryogenic callus and to increase amount of plant-regenerants. Invention can be used in sorghum selection in development of a novel parent material based on genetic and cellular engineering, mutation selection in culture in vitro, in clonal multiplication of valuable genotypes (sterile plants, haploids and so on).
